Rewind about 10 years and I didn't know any of these names, I knew NOTHING about fashion. Actually my fashion sense got me sent home my first week working as a cashier at Nordstrom.
I guess a long purple sateen skirt, huge black baggy spandex shirt, and beige 4 inch foam flip flops didn't give off the "Nordstrom" image ;)
I eventually learned to get the Nordstrom look on a Target budget...
Along the way I started to fall in love with all things designer.
The extra stitching, the feel of real leather, the smell of Italy on shoes and purses all became things that my heart literally skipped a beat for.
It was amazing what the right letters in the right order
facing the right direction did to me.
Two c's had never my head spin before.
When you love fashion, but still haven't learned about balance you can really look like a hot mess.
And this was occasionally the case with me.
Case and point...my lips.
Lip liner should NEVER be that close to your nostrils.
Over the years I've learned more and more about fashion
on every budget, for every size.
I've been a size 6 all the way up to a size 24 and
back down to somewhere in between.
I've blown thousands in one shopping trip and I've
looked like a million bucks on $10.
I think fashion is an art, shopping is a sport, and every woman deserves to
look and feel fabulous no matter what size or what budget she's on.
I believe every woman needs to know that their body deserves to be loved.
Every good trait can be highlighted and every flaw blended into the background.
I KNOW every cut makes a difference, and the cut on a shoe can make
you look 10 lbs. smaller.
I believe every woman wants to be glamorous, to own every step she takes,
and wants to walk into a closet and never again say,
"I have nothing to wear," no matter how many items are in there.
So I'm going to write about it all.
The good and the bad of fashion.
Practical stuff and impractical fashion that sets a twinkle off in my eye.
Some might see my love for it all as shallow.
They might see me as shallow.
To that I say, "To each his own."
I hope you'll stick with me.
Share your thoughts, ask questions, and tell me what you want to read about.
You'll have to put up with random posts about my babies.
My boys.
What my heart skips a beat for a 1000 times a day.
In a home filled with testosterone I am queen...
Queen of my castle.
